EU tackles gender stereotypes in vocational training

[post_audio_speech]

The EU-funded programme, ‘EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine’, has launched a campaign aimed at increasing awareness among young women on the wide range of Vocational Education and Training opportunities and tackling stereotypes about traditionally “male” and “female” professions.

The ‘Test-drive professions for girls’ campaign includes a series of communication activities, as well as career orientation events for young women who want to retrain. The activities will take place between 18 and 22 October, both online and offline, in Vinnitsya, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, and Chernivtsi regions.

One of the key tasks of the EU4Skills Programme is to support gender parity in the VET system to achieve equal career opportunities for men and women.
