Build Back Better: EU and UNDP project renovates lyceum in Mykolaiv region of Ukraine

[post_audio_speech]

Repair works supported by the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have been completed in Radsadivskyi Lyceum in the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine.

A total of 136 students and 19 teachers will return to school in a comfortable environment on 1 September.

They will benefit from the major renovation of the building, which includes a renewed central porch, facade, interior entrance, and lobby, renovated corridors, classrooms, and a replaced roof. In addition, the lyceum will soon receive new furniture — desks, chairs, bookcases and blackboards.

The Lyceum was renovated as part of the ‘EU4UASchools: Build Back Better’ project, which is being implemented by UNDP in Ukraine, with financial support from the EU. The Build Back Better principle means compliance with inclusivity, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency standards.
