Fourth EU4Youth Alumni Network cycle concludes in Chisinau – apply now for the next cycle!
The fourth cycle of the EU4Youth Alumni Network came to a close with its final evaluation event in Chisinau earlier this month.
Forty-five alumni, their mentors and support staff gathered to share experiences and lessons learned and to celebrate their achievements together. Participants also discussed suggestions for the future of the network, and explored potential structural improvements and new approaches in engaging with disadvantaged youth and communities.
During the course of the fourth cycle, over 25 initiatives were implemented in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, addressing various needs and issues identified by the Alumni in their local communities.

Amongst others, the Alumni supported young people in rural areas of Ukraine to improve their English skills for participation in EU-funded youth exchanges, worked with young individuals with mental and physical disabilities in Moldova, and assisted young Armenians and Azerbaijanis in shaping their futures by raising their awareness of the different opportunities available to them. A community festival was also organised in a small Georgian village to inform and discuss with residents about their local history and EU values.
The 4th cycle of initiatives not only improved the lives of over 500 beneficiaries, but also helped the Alumni to expand their own skill sets. Like many others, Ninia from Georgia told participants how the EU4Youth Alumni Network had helped her develop skills in community work and leadership, boosting her confidence in her own abilities.
Maxim Pijevksii, EU4Youth Alumni Network coordinator concluded: “Among the team of mentors, we were really inspired by the passion, energy and devotion of Alumni, as they presented the results of their various initiatives across the region. We are looking forward to the new cycle, to continue the work with young people.”
If you are interested in joining the EU4Youth Alumni Network, now is your chance! The cycle of applications is open until 30 October.
