EU4Belarus: fellowships to Belarusian lecturers, scientists, and PhD students at EU higher education and research institutions
The ‘Support to Advanced Learning and Training (EU4Belarus – SALT II)’ has launched a call for proposals to support Belarusian lecturers, scientists, and PhD students affected by the political crisis in Belarus. Thanks to the individual fellowships, they will have the opportunity to pursue higher education and lifelong learning opportunities at EU universities and research institutes.
The call is open to Belarusian citizens residing in Belarus, an EU member state or one of the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine). In case of residence outside Belarus, the candidate must have left Belarus no earlier than August 2020.
The applicant should be a current or former lecturer at a higher education institution including think tanks and research NGOs, or an independent researcher or PhD student, and demonstrate that he/she or an immediate family member has been under threat, suffered from actual persecution /repression, or risks of such threats, related to political situation of August 2020.
Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between a minimum amount of €6,200 (min. 100 calendar days) and maximum amount of €18,600 (max. 300 calendar days).
Fellowships may start from April 28, 2025, and be completed by August 31, 2026.
The deadline for applications is 15 January.
The ‘Support to Advanced Learning and Training (EU4Belarus – SALT II)’ programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Lithuanian Central Project Management Agency (CPMA).
