EU4Culture: empowering culture and creativity in the Eastern Partnership region
Over the past four years (2021-2024), with a budget of €7.85 million, the EU4Culture project has significantly strengthened cultural policy, cooperation among cultural and creative industries stakeholders, and sector development in non-capital cities across the EaP countries. Fourteen cities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine developed cultural strategies and implemented key actions, including post-war cultural initiatives in Ukraine.
EU4Culture supported more than 400 artists and cultural professionals in improving their skills through mobility projects, while 87 stakeholders gained new skills in internationalisation. In addition, 32 public institutions and independent cultural organisations successfully implemented innovative cultural projects, further advancing the creative sectors in the EaP countries.
The EU-funded EU4Culture project was implemented by the Goethe-Institut (lead), Institut Francais de Géorgie, Danish Cultural Institute, and Czech Centres.
