Moldova: modern agri-food market to be constructed in Cahul by the end of 2025

By the end of this year, the municipality of Cahul in southern Moldova, will have a modern agri-food market that will catalyse investment and local economic development.

The construction works, made possible with the support of the ‘EU4Moldova: Key Regions’ programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF, reached the foundation level at the end of last year.

The investment in the project totalled €680,000, including the contribution of the Cahul Municipality.

The total area of the market will be almost 4,700 square metres. It will create 170 new jobs and offer wider opportunities for local producers.
