EU4Moldova: EU grants for emergency response equipment for municipal enterprises
A grant programme has been launched with EU support in Moldova to support municipal enterprises responsible for public utility services. The almost MDL 6.5 million (around €336,000) competition is implemented by Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova.
The initiative aims to strengthen the ability of small and medium-sized cities to respond effectively to natural disasters, climate change, and other risks by providing them with specialised machinery. The project will support swift interventions in cases of heavy snowfall, torrential rain, household flooding, fallen trees, and blocked roads.
Applications are open only to municipal enterprises managing public utility services in towns with a population of up to 18,000 residents.
The deadline for applications is 31 March 2025.
This grant call is part of the ‘EU4Moldova Resilience – Secure State, Resilient Communities’ project, funded by the European Union and implemented by Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova. With a total budget of €9.5 million, the initiative aims to enhance Moldova’s capacity to respond effectively to national security challenges while supporting European integration through the development of resilient communities and a safer environment for citizens.
