Georgia: Europe Day in Batumi on 21 June
On Saturday, 21 June, from 13:00 to 17:00 at the Sheraton Batumi, there will be a vibrant public event celebrating Europe Day, highlighting the partnership between the European Union and the people of Georgia.
After the opening ceremony at 13:00, there will be many fun and informative activities to engage in, connect with, and be inspired. These activities range from workshops for ship modelling and embroidery, a Europe Day Market where you can taste local produce, and even an EU project space where you can learn how EU support is driving progress in areas like education or equality. Europe Day will conclude with a live music celebration at 18:00 at the Batumi Tennis Club, featuring Georgian bands – Killages and Mechanical Rainbow.
In the lobby of the Rooms Hotel Batumi there will also be a photo exhibition entitled ‘10 Years in Focus’, showcasing award-winning documentary photographs capturing key events that have shaped Georgia over the past decade.
