EU provides 87 million lei in electricity compensation to entrepreneurs in 2025

[post_audio_speech]

The amount of electricity compensation granted to Moldovan entrepreneurs by the EU through the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) between January and August 2025 has exceeded 87 million lei. This support is part of the Compensation Programme launched by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with EU financial assistance.

Overall, 1,055 businesses received support under the programme, of which:

  • 550 via the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) – 2,160 applications paid, amounting to over 87 million lei;
  • 505 via the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) – 1,674 applications paid, amounting to over 23.8 million lei.

The programme will remain active throughout 2025, and entrepreneurs can submit applications entirely online – either through the EVO app or via the MCabinet platform.

To better meet the needs of the business environment, the programme was adjusted during implementation. The most important changes include extending the application deadline up to 30 days, removing the 3% eligibility threshold, and extending the programme for the entire year 2025 (initially, it was planned for only three months).
