Erasmus+ announces selection of 55 new youth projects: Eastern Partnership countries on the list
On 11 September, the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport (Erasmus+) announced the newly selected ‘Capacity-building in the field of youth’ projects. These projects aim to develop partnerships between youth organisations in the EU and other Erasmus+ countries, and organisations in third countries.
As in previous years, funding for non-EU countries has focused on building cooperation with countries in the Western Balkans, the Eastern Neighbourhood and the Southern Mediterranean. The main goal of these projects is to support organisations working with young people outside formal learning.
- ‘Empowering Youth Organisations in Neighbourhood East for Digital Inclusion and Peacebuilding’ – coordinated by Germany and supported by Spain, this project with Armenian and Georgian participation will strengthen youth organisations and foster peacebuilding skills in Armenia and Georgia;
- ‘Gamify Rural Youth Work’ – coordinated by Georgia, in partnership with Armenia, Cyprus, Germany, Turkey and Ukraine, will focus on a project which will develop innovative curricula and gamification tools for grassroots rural youth work.
- ‘Media Literacy Empowered 2.0’ – coordinated by Italy and supported by Armenia, Georgia, Serbia and Ukraine, will develop and implement new methodologies in youth work in the field of media literacy.
- ‘Stronger together: empowering youth organisations for lasting impact’ – coordinated by France, supported by Armenia, Estonia, and Moldova, this project will enhance youth professionals’ knowledge and confidence in addressing mental health challenges, promoting career development and building safe, ethical digital practices.
- ‘Vibe: Young Voices Inspiring Active Citizenship’ – coordinated by Bulgaria in partnership with Armenia, Malta and Moldova, this project will promote non-formal learning and support the development of youth work through innovative NFIL tools that incorporate storytelling techniques and contribute to the implementation of the European Youth Strategy
- ‘YPBB: Youth Placemaking Beyond Borders’ – coordinated by Greece and joined by Armenia, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine, this partnership is aimed at equipping youth with the skills and tools to transform public spaces through phygital placemaking—a hybrid approach combining physical and digital engagement methods.
- ‘Strengthening Youth Capacities in Wildlife Conservation Through One Health Initiatives and Virtual Reality Technology’ – coordinated by Turkey in partnership with Azerbaijan, Czechia, Georgia, Moldova, Portugal and Ukraine, this project will address critical gaps in youth capacity building, digital skills, and employability in wildlife conservation, veterinary sciences, and One Health.
- ‘EARTH- Every Action Restores The Harmony’ – coordinated by Poland, with support from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova,Spain, Turkey and Ukraine, the project will help young people in pro-ecological activities and support them in implementing initiatives for environmental protection and sustainable development.
- ‘PACE: Promoting Access, Collaboration, and Empowerment for Ukrainian youth’ – coordinated by Moldova in partnership with Georgia, Ireland and Ukraine, this project will strengthen the capacity of youth organisations in Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia to support displaced and vulnerable young people.
- ‘Synergy of practices to counter civic apathy among young people in Central and Eastern Europe’ – coordinated by Romania, with help from Georgia, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia and Ukraine, this partnership will enhance the capacity of youth organisations effectively to counter civic apathy and promote civic engagement among young people in Central and Eastern Europe.
- ‘AI-Driven Career Guidance: Enhancing Youth Professional Orientation’ – coordinated by Ukraine in partnership with Belgium, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, and Moldova, the project will support the professional development of youth in Ukraine and Moldova through innovative, technology-driven career guidance solutions.
Almost €17 million have been allocated to the 55 projects selected in the 2025 call for proposals.
