EU4Youth scholarship holders begin studies at College of Europe in Natolin
The new academic year has officially begun for the Victoria Amelina Promotion at the College of Europe in Natolin, bringing together students from 33 nationalities, reflecting the rich diversity and international spirit of the institution.
This year, 12 students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Moldova have also joined Natolin, thanks to the EU4Youth Scholarships, a unique opportunity made possible by the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. For them, this scholarship represents more than financial support: it is a gateway to fulfilling their academic and professional aspirations.
In connection with the start of the new academic year, Ewa Ośniecka-Tamecka, Vice-Rector of the College of Europe, said: “Learn, develop, grow, and look further.”
One of the most important long-standing traditions of the College of Europe is its ‘Patrons’ and ‘Patronnes de promotion’. Every academic year, an outstanding European figure is chosen to guide the work and experience of our students symbolically. This year, the College decided to dedicate the 2025-2026 Academic Year to Victoria Amelina – a Ukrainian novelist, poet, and human rights defender, born in Lviv in 1986, who lost her life in a Russian missile attack on Kramatorsk in 2023.
The ‘EU4Youth Phase III programme: Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship’ is funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, and implemented by the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA). It aims to support young people from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine through access to quality education, internships, and development opportunities.
