New online training programme on clean energy in Ukraine and globally starts today!


On 24 September, a comprehensive training programme on biomethane production and use in Ukraine and in other countries will be launched online. It is conducted by the public organisation “Bioenergy Association of Ukraine” (UABIO), with the support of the Energy Community and the UK Agency for International Development (FCDO).

The participants will examine the following topics:

  • Global & European outlook on biogas & biomethane (2030/2050 goals);
  • Ukrainian biomethane sector – current status & prospects;
  • Feedstocks: traditional & innovative;
  • Anaerobic digestion in agriculture;
  • Biomethane utilisation: NG substitution, motor fuel & economy;
  • Certification, carbon intensity & regulatory frameworks;
  • How to launch your own biomethane project.

The trainings will take place online via Zoom each Wednesday from 24 September to 26 November at 15:00-17:00 (Kyiv time).

The training programme is open to all those interested, but will be conducted in Ukrainian. The participants will receive a certificate, which will be available upon completion of the course.

The training is part of the project PN01-2025 ‘Ukrainian Biomethane Sector Development’, implemented by the Energy Community Secretariat in cooperation with Bio Energy Association of Ukraine and funded by UK International Development.
