Erasmus Student Network launches regional platform in Yerevan
On 13 October, the Erasmus Student Network’s regional platform – the South Eastern European Platform (SEEP) – was launched in Yerevan, Armenia.
The event brought together around 140 international students and Erasmus Student Network (ESN) volunteers from 16 countries across the region to share experiences, exchange ideas, and strengthen regional cooperation.
Václav Štěrba, Deputy Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Armenia, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. Sharing his own experience as a former Erasmus mobility student, Štěrba highlighted the transformative impact of the Erasmus+ programme in building connections across borders and fostering intercultural understanding. He also encouraged young people to continue embracing mobility opportunities and to become active ambassadors of European values and cooperation.
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest student associations in Europe, representing more than 1,000 higher education institutions from over 40 countries. ESN is an independent non-profit international association, supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
