Armenia: President of Eurojust comes to Yerevan to strengthen cooperation in criminal justice
On 23 September, the President of Eurojust, Ladislav Hamran, paid a one-day visit to Armenia.
In Yerevan, President Hamran, alongside Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office and Ministry of Justice, signed a working arrangement that solidifies the EU-Armenia partnership in criminal justice.
“His visit represents a significant milestone in the deepening judicial cooperation between Armenia and the EU, following the ratification of the cooperation agreement earlier this year,” the EU Delegation to Armenia said in a Facebook post.
It also said the signed document would pave the way for enhanced coordination on criminal matters, further securing both justice systems and ensuring closer collaboration on legal investigations and prosecutions. The working arrangement will also serve as a foundation for future engagements, strengthening Armenia’s ties with the EU in matters of justice and security.
“We’ve taken another step forward towards closer cooperation with our Armenian partners!” Eurojust said in a post on X.
