Armenia: Slovenian artist presents works created during Creative Europe residency
On 8 September, Slovenian artist Marko Jakše presented his works in an exhibition in Talin, Armenia. The exhibition showcases the results of his first art residency in Armenia, supported by the EU Creative Europe programme.
Jakše has participated in numerous exhibitions, including the 59th Venice Biennale (2022) in the Slovenian Pavilion. During his first visit to Armenia, he engaged with the local community and landscape, creating works that combine memory, humanity, and nature.
This art residency was a part of the OASis project, a network of creative spaces across Europe aiming to make art accessible to a wider public. It connects 13 art venues in 10 countries, including Armenia, Belgium, France, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, and Slovenia, and is co-funded by the EU Creative Europe programme.
The exhibition will be open until 13 September.
