Day of European Authors comes back in autumn as European Authors Day

[post_audio_speech]

The Day of European Authors is coming back in autumn and becomes European Authors Day.

Through this initiative that started in 2023, the European Union seeks to inspire younger generations to establish a relationship with the world of books. It serves as a platform for promoting and supporting ongoing programmes and initiatives in European countries to encourage a culture of reading.

There will also be novelties on the timing and the format: in 2025, reading and book events will take place between 11 November and 12 December. These will gather authors, illustrators with their readers in schools, libraries and bookstores in 40 countries of the Creative Europe programme, including Armenia, Georgia, and Ukraine.

In addition, there will also be training workshops in November 2025 and a conference on reading promotion in March 2026.

More information on the upcoming events and how to take part in these will be available soon.
