eTwinning School Label for almost 3,000 schools, including in the Eastern Partnership
On 22 March, the EU’s eTwinning programme announced that 2,935 schools, including many in Eastern Partner countries, have been awarded the eTwinning School Label 2021-2022.
These schools are pioneers and are recognised as leaders in areas such as digital and eSafety practice, innovative and creative approaches to pedagogy, promoting continuous professional development of staff, and promoting collaborative learning practices with staff and students.
The eTwinning School Label means that the school as whole recognises the importance and values of eTwinning and embeds these in the school’s policies, practice and professional development with the support of school management.
In the Eastern partnership, eTwinning has awarded its Label to twelve schools in Azerbaijan, four in Armenia, seven in Georgia, six in Moldova, and thirteen in Ukraine.
eTwinning promotes school collaboration in Europe, providing support, tools and services for schools, as well as opportunities for free and continuing online professional development for educators. The initiative is also open to schools in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, through eTwinning Plus, which extends the programme to the European Neighbourhood.
