[post_audio_speech]

On 31 July, the ‘Small-scale energy-efficiency solutions for the rural people in the Republic of Armenia’ initiative held a closing event in Yerevan to present its results.

The initiative was co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of the ‘EU4Energy efficiency and renewable energy in Armenian communities’ project.

As part of the initiative, five courses on the technical aspects of the production of energy-efficient stoves were organised for around 108 metalsmiths from Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Syunik, and Shirak regions of Armenia, including 20 displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh.

The aim of the courses was to train metalworkers in the production of energy-efficient stoves. At the end of the training, participating craftsmen received drawings and technical standards for energy-efficient stoves.

In addition, five two-day business courses on marketing and financial management were organised for about 50 craftsmen.
