On 6 February, a Training and Practice Centre and modernised training workshops were opened at the Kremenchuk Higher Vocational School No.7.

The institution underwent major renovations and received state-of-the-art professional equipment as part of the third component of the ‘EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine’ programme. The total investment, provided by the state and the European Union, exceeded €1.4 million.

The building was insulated, a new roof and windows were installed. The Centre was equipped with 42 units of equipment, including modern milling and turning machines with numerical control, master fibre lasers, and other high-tech facilities.

“That is why the EU will continue to support the modernisation of the vocational education system, helping young people acquire in-demand competencies for the country’s reconstruction towards its path to EU accession,” said Henrik Huitfeldt, Head of the Public Finance, Business Support and Social Policies Section at the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

The EU-funded ‘EU4Skills: Modernisation of Vocational Education and Training Infrastructure in Ukraine’ project is part of the “EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine” programme (Component 3) and aims to update and modernise the equipment and infrastructure of VET schools in Ukraine.
