European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos visits Moldova

European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos is paying an official visit to the Republic of Moldova from 3 to 5 September 2025.

The visit includes discussions with government representatives on reforms and the country’s European path, and meetings with investors and entrepreneurs on the future of the Moldovan economy in view of the country’s accession to the EU.

Today, during a meeting with President Maia Sandu, Marta Kos congratulated the Republic of Moldova on its rapid progress towards joining the European Union. Among the significant achievements, Commissioner Kos noted completion of the screening process, joining the ‘Roam Like at Home’ initiative, and a new trade regime which provides more export opportunities for Moldovan producers.

Marta Kos will also meet Moldovan journalists, influencers and content creators in Chisinau and the Causeni district.

Commissioner Kos will also visit places of cultural and religious heritage.
