From 12-14 August, 18 young Azerbaijanis took part in the 8th edition of the EuroSchool, organised by the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan.

The three-day educational journey, held in Ismayilli, was designed to bring the European Union closer to young people through interactive learning and inspiring dialogue.

EuroSchool 2025 offered a unique platform to deepen young people’s understanding of the EU’s history, core values, and key partnerships. The special focus was on EU-Azerbaijan relations, the Eastern Partnership initiative, energy and the environment, and fighting disinformation.

The sessions were conducted by invited experts Ahmad Alili and Seymur Kazimov. Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) shared their knowledge and expertise with the participants. Gediminas Varanavicius, Deputy Head of Mission, Head of Political, Press and Information Section at the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, shared his vision of the prospects and challenges for the EU in a rapidly changing global landscape.

Beyond insightful sessions and discussions, the participants had an opportunity to visit a historic settlement of Basqal.

At the end of the school, the participants received certificates signed by EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko.
