EUSEW in Georgia: literary contest Lile 2025 reveals its winners
On 23 September, the award ceremony of the literary contest Lile 2025 revealed its winners. The ceremony took place as part of the European Sustainable Energy Week (#EUSEW) 2025, at the Book House on Bakhtrioni Street, Tbilisi.
The contest was organised in cooperation with the literary portal Urakparaki and the Energy Efficiency Centre, as part of the EU-funded project ‘Covenant of Mayors – East, Phase III’.
Andrea Baggioli, the representative of the EU Delegation in Georgia, opened the ceremony, highlighting the importance of climate change and sustainable energy issues, as well as the EU’s support to the people of Georgia in this regard.
Christopher Frering, the Team Leader of the EU-funded Covenant of Mayors – East (CoM) project, emphasised the crucial role of raising awareness and the active engagement of various stakeholders in climate and energy processes.
The contest revealed five winning stories:
1st place: Two Flags by Phikria Kushitashvili;
2nd place: Above on the Krebalo by Mirian Rcheulishvili;
3rd place: The Calf’s Story by Levan Loria;
4th place: The Conductor by Natia Rostiashvili;
5th place: Someone Else’s Child, My Child by Asterix (nickname).
The evening was hosted by the writer Mikho Mosulishvili and the CoM expert in Georgia, George Abulashvili.
