From Chisinau to Brussels: Young European Ambassador crosses Europe on a bicycle

[post_audio_speech]

After cycling for 28 days and 3,400km from the Moldovan capital Chisinau, Young European Ambassador Jules Bigot arrived in Brussels on Sunday at the end of an epic bicycle trip that took him from Moldova, through Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands before arriving in Belgium.

For a year, French YEA Jules Bigot followed an internship at the French Embassy in Chisinau, then at the International Republican Institute – IRI Moldova, also making a short visit to the EU Delegation in Moldova. At the end of his internship, he decided to take a more unusual return trip from Chisinau to Brussels, in order to better understand the process of EU integration.

The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) initiative brings together socially engaged youth from the six Eastern Partner countries, the European Union and the United Kingdom to foster dialogue and to raise awareness about the EU and its cooperation with its Eastern partner countries.
