Georgia: exhibition highlights successes of women-led businesses

[post_audio_speech]

On 13-14 September, Expo Georgia in Tbilisi hosted a large-scale exhibition-sale of women entrepreneurs’ products. The exhibition was organised under the initiative of UN Women Georgia with financial support from the European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as well as the Norwegian Development Cooperation Agency (NORAD).

About 200 Georgian women entrepreneurs participated in the exhibition. Guests had the opportunity to browse and purchase unique products created by the entrepreneurs: food and wine, handmade items, eco-friendly products and personal care products.

Participants included beneficiaries of EU-supported projects, showcasing how EU support helps women to build businesses, empower communities, and create a more sustainable future.
