Georgia: watch EU-supported series of videos about local community in Sagarejo
UNDP in Georgia has released a series of videos about the residents of a village in Sagarejo municipality in Georgia. The short films were made by the partner organisation ‘Meeting Place’, in the framework of the EU-funded ‘EU for Integrated Territorial Development (EU4ITD)’ project.
The videos, available on YouTube, tell about the daily life and challenges faced by the residents of Yormughanlo village in the Sagarejo municipality. The series feature a variety of local voices – farmers and shepherds, men and women, local youth and older residents. It also shows life in significant places of the community, such as the marketplace and mosque.
The ‘EU for Integrated Territorial Development (EU4ITD)’ project is implemented by UNDP Georgia to support more balanced territorial development and improvement of the population’s living standards through an enhanced governance system in four target regions – Guria, Imereti, Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
