Moldova: Criuleni lyceum starts renovations with EU support

[post_audio_speech]

The start of the EU-funded reconstruction work on the Boris Dînga Lyceum in Criuleni was announced on 9 June, during a visit to Moldova by European Commission Executive Vice-President Roxana Mînzatu.

This school is one of ten educational institutions that will be modernised with the support of the European Union, thanks to a €10 million EU grant.

The investment will cover the refurbishment of modern classrooms, the purchase of ICT equipment (such as tablets, interactive whiteboards and projectors), ensuring accessibility for children with disabilities, teacher training and the purchase of ten school minibuses.

The renovation is part of the EU-funded project ‘Advancing quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all,’ implemented by UNICEF and UNDP, which supports the government’s plan to create 35 ‘model schools’ across the country.
