Play EUcraft: negotiate and reach agreement in the Council of the EU
The Council of the European Union invites those who are interested in experiencing the EU decision-making process by negotiating on real topics to play EUcraft.
The digital simulation game is available for free on web and mobile. It is suitable for ages 15 and older.
EUcraft is an educational game based on the real negotiation process and real topics. Agreeing on a common charger for your devices, banning single-use plastics or supporting the transition to electric cars and greener buildings – it’s all in your hands.
However, the negotiation process has been simplified and gamified, fun elements have been added and a certain level of abstraction applied. Country positions are also simplified and aligned to fit the game. Countries’ positions here could differ from their actual positions during the real legislative procedure.
You can choose a game for one or more players, create your own game, or join someone else’s team.
Players can also test their knowledge on the EU by taking the Council’s EU quiz, pitched at a beginner’s and an expert’s level.
The quiz is also suitable for ages 12 and older.
