On 9 October, the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan, Armenia, hosted the Symphonic Europe concert.

The concert was held for the second year on the initiative of the European Union Delegation to Armenia and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

“This concert becomes almost a traditional annual event, testifying to the shared cultural heritage and traditions of Europe and Armenia,” said a Facebook post by the EU Delegation to Armenia.“European Union-Armenia cultural cooperation is key for people-to-people contacts.”

During the concert, renowned violinist Michael Barenboim, accompanied by the Armenian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sergey Smbatyan, performed Edward Elgar’s Violin Concerto, and ‘Partita’ by Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian. Mansurian attended the concert in person.
