Annual Survey 2024: Moldova

This ‘Annual Survey 2024 – Moldova. Perception of the European Union’ was carried out by the EU regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood (EU NEIGHBOURS east). The survey was conducted in March 2024, with face-to-face interviews.

More and more Moldovans have a positive image of the European Union (67%), and fewer have a negative image (6%) than at any time since 2016. With Moldova now an official EU candidate, 76% of respondents say their country has good relations with the EU, up nine points on 2016. Fifty-nine percent of those asked (up 10 points since 2023) said they were in favour of EU membership.
