Examples of women leading a fair and green transition in the EU Neighbourhood and the Western Balkans

These stories of women leaders were collected under the Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy Eastern Partnership (CoM-East) project and the EU4Energy Programme, funded by the European Union. This document was prepared by the EU4Gender Equality Reform Helpdesk project to complement the brief on “Investing in gender equality for a fair and green transition in the EU Neighbourhood and the Western Balkans”, prepared for a panel discussion at the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 29) on the support of the European Union (EU), Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), and partner organisations for integrating gender equality in the green transition in the EU Neighbourhood region.
