Invest in women: Narratives of change

In the context of the International Women’s Day Campaign, UN Women launched an essay competition entitled “Investing in women to accelerate progress”. The competition was organised with the financial support of the European Union and Sweden.

The competition invited gender equality advocates from across the country to identify ways to invest more in women’s rights and gender equality and to describe the importance of increasing these investments. In this publication, we have collected the winning entries from the competition. The essays are written by women from different regions of Moldova, of different ages and backgrounds. They have one thing in common: firm faith in women’s rights and gender equality.

The competition called on supporters of gender equality and feminists throughout the country to identify ways to increase investments in the promotion of women’s rights and gender equality, as well as to argue why increased investments are necessary. This publication collects the essays of the competition winners.

Language: This report is only available in Romanian.
