Situation Assessment of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Ukraine: Analytical Study

This analytical study presents the results of the first stage of a comprehensive situation assessment of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Ukraine. It provides a detailed overview of the existing public health system, mapping the legal, institutional, and policy framework that shapes access to SRHR services. The report highlights both strengths and systemic challenges in ensuring the population’s access to quality care, especially during wartime, when healthcare systems face heightened pressure and disruption.

The study offers key recommendations for improving SRHR services in Ukraine, including enhancing data collection, strengthening human resources, and ensuring the continuity and accessibility of services for all population groups, including adolescents, displaced persons, and survivors of gender-based violence. It serves as a critical tool for government authorities, healthcare providers, and international partners working to build a more inclusive and resilient healthcare system that protects the rights and well-being of all.
