Calling volunteers from Azerbaijan and Georgia for BioArt Village project in the Netherlands
Are you a young individual who wants to volunteer at a unique location and help restore a monumental place amidst nature, while developing practical skills like animal care, renovation and green maintenance?
The BioArt Village project in the Netherlands is open to volunteers from Azerbaijan and Georgia under the European Solidarity Corps and runs from September 2024 until the end of August 2025.
The project takes place in an off-grid bunker-complex that looks like an ensemble of rural farmhouses, and aims to repurpose these old monumental buildings. This is a project for people who love to do practical work, are not afraid to get their hands dirty, and are eager to explore new possibilities with a go-getter mentality and proactive attitude. Animal care, renovation and maintaining the beautiful outside location are the three main projects in which you can learn, grow and excel. The tasks will be physically demanding and the weather conditions can be challenging.
The accommodation is at BioArt Village, a beautiful location surrounded by a forest inside the city of Eindhoven. Besides pocket money, you also receive food money, so some basic knowledge of cooking food is required. The city centre is around 15–20 minutes with a bike that can be provided to you. There is public transit nearby.
The project has multiple project durations, so there is something for everyone, including short-term volunteering (59 days) and long term volunteering when possible (max 6 months).
There is no deadline for applications.
The project is looking for volunteers who are interested in nature and physical outdoor work, and embrace living off-grid. They are assertive individuals ready to tackle challenges, able to do daily sustainable animal care, outdoor working and helping with restoring the place. Proficiency in understanding and speaking English is necessary.
