Empowering civil society and media in Eastern partner countries: call for capacity development experts
ERIM (Equal Rights and Independent Media), an international NGO based in France, is looking for experienced consultants to enhance skills and knowledge of civil society organisations (CSOs) and independent media from Eastern Partnership countries and to improve their organisational capacities, resilience, and sustainability.
The call is launched as part of the ‘ProElect – Promote accountability in Electoral processes in EaP through increased participation and capacity of civic actors’ project, run by the Transatlantic Foundation in partnership with ERIM, with funding from the European Union.
ERIM plans to select up to three CSOs and/or media organisations per country to receive grants for organisational capacity development. Once selected, the organisations will undergo an Organisational Capacity Assessment (OCA), develop a capacity development plan and a 12-month action plan.
The work of the consultants will be to assist ERIM in the OCA process, develop the capacity development and action plans in cooperation with the selected organisations, monitor and evaluate progress throughout the projects’ implementation, and provide support to selected organisations.
Consultants are expected to start in the second half of May 2025 and be available over a 15-month period.
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree and at least three years of work experience in a relevant field, as well as a broad network of contacts in civil society development, human rights promotion and/or media development.
Fluency in written and spoken English and local language is mandatory.
The deadline for applications is 30 April.
