EU in Moldova announces new job vacancy for Twinning project


The European Union Delegation in Moldova is looking for an assistant-translator in the EU-funded twinning project ‘Strengthening the institutional capacities of the Competition Council to enforce the competition and state aid policy in line with the EU best practices’.

The project started on October 1, 2024 and is scheduled to last for 27 months. 

The language assistant will support the Resident Twinning Adviser (RTA), Project Leader, and short-term experts by translating project documents, providing interpretation during meetings and events, and assisting with the preparation of materials and missions. The role also includes working with the RTA Assistant on daily project tasks and carrying out other duties assigned by the RTA.

Job applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Relevant University Degree in English Philology and/or experience with the translation and interpretation not less than 5 years;
  • Fluent in oral and written Romanian and English;
  • Very good computer skills (MS Office package, Internet);
  • Good listening skills;
  • Able to work as an individual contributor and within a team environment;
  • Very good communication skills;
  • Previous experience in at least one EU funded-projects, preferably as RTA Language Assistant in a former Twinning project, or in another equivalent international project.
