European Solidarity Corps: assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Romania

As part of the European Solidarity Corps volunteering programme, the Alianza-ActionAid (Spain) and FJTB (Fundatia Judeteana pentru Tineret Botosani, Romania) are looking for a team of young people to improve the assistance of Ukrainian refugees into the Botoșani community, Romania. The volunteering is expected to start on 29 September and last until 30 November 2025.

The Vol4Refugees project offers young, motivated volunteers, including from Moldova and Ukraine, the chance to support the integration of Ukrainian refugees, through educational, cultural, social, and sports activities. The project emphasises gender-sensitive support and encourages active civic engagement. Volunteers will help to organise workshops, assist with youth programmes, lead non-formal education sessions, and coordinate sports or recreational events that promote inclusion and intercultural dialogue.

The organisers are looking for motivated and open-minded young people interested in community work, cultural diversity, and social inclusion. Ideal volunteers are eager to engage in non-formal education, civic activities, and sports or creative events.

Volunteers will be accommodated in a modern, centrally located youth hostel (Casa Tineretului), in the same building where many activities will take place. Rooms are shared (two people per room) and include private bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen is available for cooking. Volunteers will also receive free public transport passes for Botoșani’s electric bus network, making local travel easy and sustainable.

The deadline for applications is 9 September.
