Masterclass on digital awareness in rural regions: civil society organisations in Georgia invited to join
The Estonian e-Governance Academy (eGA) has announced an exclusive masterclass designed to enhance digital awareness and inclusion in Georgia’s rural regions. The eGA organised this event under the EU-backed ‘Rural Empowerment through Digital Inclusion’ (REDI) project.
The masterclass will take place on 22-23 September with a follow-up activity on 25-26 September 2025 in Kutaisi, Georgia.
The masterclass is organised for small teams from Georgian civil society organisations who are passionate about bridging the digital divide, particularly among vulnerable communities in rural areas.
The organisers expect the participants to be fluent in English, have a creative and team-oriented mindset and be available for the whole duration of the event, including up to one travel day. The participants must also commit to join the follow-up activities in Georgia in autumn 2025.
The eGA will provide meals during the masterclass, accommodation for participants travelling from outside Kutaisi, and will cover the local transportation costs, with the support of the European Commission. Participants will receive a certificate of participation upon completion.
The ‘Rural Empowerment through Digital Inclusion’ (REDI) project is one of the projects coordinated and supported by EU4Digital, and involves eGA and the Solidarity Fund Poland. REDI aims to diminish the digital divide in Georgia by improving access to affordable digital infrastructure and developing digital literacy skills in rural areas, particularly in the regions of Imereti, Guria, Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
The deadline for applications is 14 September.
