Share the Christmas Spirit: volunteering opportunity in Poland

A European Solidarity Corps project in Poland invites young volunteers from across Europe, including Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, to come to Poland and share their Christmas traditions.

Running from 30 October until 18 December, the ‘Hey Christmas Carol 6!’ project will see volunteers prepare international Christmas carols and presentations about Christmas traditions in their countries, as well as workshops in arts and crafts, music, theatre, personal development and food.

The volunteers will be singing and playing Christmas carols from different countries at meetings with children, teenagers, people with disabilities and seniors in various places in Bydgoszcz, including the official Christmas Market in the city. The project is about the exchange of Christmas traditions and cultures, regardless of religious belief.

The project will provide board and lodging as well as pocket money and local transport cards.

Volunteers should be open-minded and have a positive attitude towards people, and love international, intercultural and festive atmosphere. Every participant should speak basic English and should not be afraid of singing and performing in front of an audience.

The deadline for applications is 15 September 2024.
