Water Data Hackathon in Moldova: students and young professionals invited to apply by 22 November
A two-day ‘Water Data Hackathon’ will take place on 4-5 December in Moldova, focusing on sustainable water governance and developing digital solutions aiming to improve water resource management.
The hackathon is organised by the ‘EU4Environment’ programme with the support of the ‘Renașterea Rurală’ NGO, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Moldova.
The three best teams will receive funding (up to € 2,500) to develop prototypes into full innovative digital products and services for the environment.
The call is open to Moldovan students (IT, water and environment, Geographic Information System GIS) and young professionals from public or private sector organisations (e.g. Start-ups, SMEs, or technology platforms, NGOs, universities and research institutes, industry). Applicants (18-35 years old) can apply individually or as part of a team (3-5 people).
The organisers provide accommodation, meals and transportation from Chisinau to the venue.
The deadline for applications is 22 November.
