The 'Support for the Development of the National Strategy for Culture 2030 in Moldova' project is aimed at supporting the Republic of Moldova, and notably the Ministry of Culture, in the elaboration of a strategy for culture and national heritage 2030 and the related programme for implementation 2025-2030 in order to improve the protection and promotion of culture, in its diverse forms of expression, as a driver and enabler for sustainable development. This activity will be accompanied by a capacity building component, to increase sustainability and inclusiveness.
Specific Objective
Overall objective: To enhance the role of culture in the socio-economic development of the Republic of Moldova by strengthening the sector’s capacity to safeguard cultural heritage and promote the diversity of cultural expressions.

Specific objectives:
1. To support national authorities in developing the National Strategy for Culture 2030 and its implementation programme, ensuring a coherent, participatory, and inclusive policy framework.
2. To reinforce the sustainability and resilience of the culture sector by preserving and valorising cultural heritage, strengthening institutional capacities, and fostering broader participation in cultural life.
Expected Results
The Republic of Moldova adopts normative and policy frameworks in the field of culture aligned with the EU acquis, providing a coherent foundation for the development and promotion of the national cultural sector. In this way, the sector is strengthened through strategic guidance that supports the country’s economic, educational, and social potential while ensuring full alignment with EU legislation.
